Beijing Happy Valley is a must-visit destination for thrill-seekers and families alike, offering a wide variety of exciting rides, attractions, and photo-worthy spots. With proper planning, you can maximize your visit while avoiding long lines and enjoying every moment. From ticket tips to the best dining options and ride recommendations, this guide has everything you need to know for an unforgettable day at Beijing Happy Valley.
Tickets and What to Pack
Purchasing tickets online is easy and convenient. At the time of my visit, I got a 339 RMB couple’s ticket—a great deal for two!
What to Pack:
Must-Have: backpack, ID card, power bank, water, sunscreen umbrella.
Optional: Disposable raincoat, waterproof shoe covers, and a towel.
Tip: The park’s disposable raincoats are flimsy and overpriced. However, the reusable raincoat printed with the Happy Valley logo is a worthwhile souvenir.
How to Get There
Take Metro Line 7 to the Happy Valley Scenic Area Station (Exit B, Northeast) and walk 300 meters to the entrance. It’s super convenient and saves time.
Pre-Visit Dining Tip
Food inside the park is pricey, so we opted to eat at the Pizza Hut directly across the street from Happy Valley (just a road crossing away). We enjoyed a chicken burger set meal for 35 RMB per person.
Arrive by 11:00 AM to avoid the lunch crowd. By 11:30 AM, a line had already formed, so plan to eat early!

Use the Beijing Happy Valley WeChat Mini Program Map to easily navigate the park. For a less crowded experience, follow a counterclockwise route on the map.
