Entrance and Route:
- Entrance: Enter the Forbidden City from the East Huamen gate and proceed to the Meridian Gate (the main entrance). Expect to queue, but it generally moves quickly; I managed to get through in about 20 minutes.

Important Notes:
- Treasure Gallery and Clock and Watch Gallery: These two attractions close at 4:00 PM. Plan your visit accordingly to ensure you have enough time to explore them before they close.
- Navigating the Forbidden City: After exiting the Qianqing Gate, you can explore Cining Palace and other palaces where imperial concubines lived by going left (west). If you head right, youโll reach the Clock and Watch Gallery and Treasure Gallery, which are located on the right side. Prioritize visiting these galleries before exploring other areas.
Tips:
- Peak Season Travel: Traffic congestion can be heavy during peak seasons. To avoid delays, take the subway. Take Line 8 to Jinyu Hutong Station, exit at C, turn right, and walk approximately 500 meters to reach East Huamen. From there, turn left and follow the Jinzi River to the Meridian Gate.
- Luggage Storage: Store your luggage at the bag storage facility on the west side of the Meridian Gate. Retrieve it at the Gate of Divine Might (Shenwu Gate) when you leave.
